Women's lacrosse maintains No. 5 spot in IWLCA poll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its latest Division III coaches' poll on Monday and Salisbury University held at the No. 5 spot this week.

The Sea Gulls earned 523 points this week, sitting just 25 points behind fellow Capital Athletic Conference member No. 4 University of Mary Washington.

Salisbury held its spot following a two-win week, defeating Meredith College and Plymouth State University.

Gettysburg College remained the unanimous top team, with 625 points off all 25 first-place votes, followed by Franklin & Marshall College (593 points) and Washington and Lee University (570 points).

The CAC has four teams ranked in the top 25 with York College of Pennsylvania at No. 7, with 474 points, and St. Mary's College of Maryland climbing into the poll at No. 25, with 37 points.

The Sea Gulls return to action on Wednesday, March 20, traveling to Glassboro, New Jersey where they will play a neutral site contest against No. 15 State University of New York at Cortland.
