Women’s lacrosse remains at No. 4 in IWLCA poll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its latest Division III coaches' poll on Monday and Salisbury University maintained its No. 4 position this week.

The Sea Gulls received 547 points to stay at the No. 4 spot after a week in which they went 2-1, with all three games coming against top-10 opponents.

Salisbury started off the week with an 11-6 loss to No. 5 Middlebury College, who jumped two spots to No. 3 in this week's rankings with 568 points. The Sea Gulls then defeated No. 6 Franklin & Marshall College, 9-5, before they earned an 11-7 victory against No. 3 University of Mary Washington, which dropped two spots to No. 5 in this week's rankings with 512 points.

Gettysburg College remained the unanimous top team, receiving 625 points and all 25 first-place votes. Washington and Lee University stayed put at the No. 2 spot with 595 points.

York College of Pennsylvania is the only other Capital Athletic Conference team in the top-25, remaining at the No. 8 spot with 438 points. St. Mary's College of Maryland dropped out of the top-25 but is receiving votes.

The Sea Gulls are back in action on Saturday, April 6 when they host Frostburg State University at 12 p.m.
