VIDEO: Women's Lacrosse vs. Frostburg State
The fourth-ranked Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team cruised to a 22-3 victory over Frostburg State University on Saturday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action. Courtney Fegan opened the game with two goals in the first two minutes, which both came off assists from Alexis Strobel. Fegan later added another goal for the hat trick while also recording an assist. Strobel made it 4-0 less than five minutes into the game on this unassisted marker. She tallied a team-high seven points on one goal and six assists, all in the first half. Gianna Demato joined Fegan with a hat trick, scoring two goals during the Sea Gulls’ 9-0 run to open the game. Demato added her third goal in the second half while also recording two assists. Lydia McNulty was one of seven players who recorded at least two goals in the game. McNulty also added an assist, helping the Sea Gulls record a season-high 18 in the game. Two freshmen recorded career-firsts as Lily Cavallaro scored the first goal of her career off Delaney Hill’s first career assist. The Sea Gulls return to action on Wednesday, April 10 as they travel to take on Christopher Newport University at 4 p.m.
