Mooney named to NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region Second Team

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced its 2012 Division III Women All-South Atlantic Region teams Wednesday and senior Erin Mooney was named to the Second Team for her efforts this past season. Mooney is the 12th player in program history to be honored on the all-region squads.

Mooney led the team with nine points this season, including being tied with a team-high four goals. The midfielder from Lusby, Md., had a knack for scoring goals when they were most needed, netting three game-winning goals for the Sea Gulls.

Mooney also has been honored during her career with selections to the All-CAC First Team the last three seasons.

Salisbury has not had a player selected to the second team or higher since 2007, when Robyn Bishop was chosen for the first team and Kate Weaver selected for the second team.
