Women's tennis pick to finish third in CAC

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference released its preseason coaches' poll for women's tennis on Friday morning and Salisbury University has been tabbed to finish third.

The Sea Gulls picked up 37 points in the poll, trailing only preseason favorite the University of Mary Washington, which was a unanimous pick with 49 points and the maximum seven first-place votes, and Christopher Newport University, which garnered 43 points and the remaining first-place vote – coaches may not vote for their own team.

Salisbury has played four matches in the 2018 season, posting three wins and earning the first CAC Player of the Week in sophomore Annika Kezman.

The Sea Gulls play two matches at home this weekend, hosting Stevenson University on Saturday, March 3, beginning at noon, and beginning CAC play on Sunday, March 4 by welcoming Frostburg State University.
