Women's tennis falls at Cal Lutheran

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 contest at California Lutheran University on Wednesday evening.

The Regals (6-1) picked up the three doubles points with senior Taylor Cooper and sophomore Laura Brown falling at No. 2 by an 8-5 score while sophomore Sydney Soto and freshman Sarah Dover lost at No. 3 by an 8-4 score.

Juniors Annika Kezman and Jordan Schaefer were defeated 8-1 at No. 1.

Kezman picked up a win at No. 1 singles for Salisbury (4-3) by a 7-5, 6-2 score. Soto was defeated at No. 4 singles by a 6-1, 6-2 score while Brown at No. 2 and Shannon Hickman at No. 6 fell by 6-0, 6-2 scores.

Schaefer fell at No. 5 by a 6-0, 6-1 score while Cooper lost at No. 3 by a 6-0, 6-0 score.

The Sea Gulls close out play in California on Thursday, March 21 facing off with Trinity (Conn.) College. That match is slated to begin at 1 p.m., eastern time.
