Kezman earns second CAC Player of the Week honor of 2019

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly women's tennis awards on Tuesday and Salisbury University junior Annika Kezman was named the league's Player of the Week for the second time this year.

Kezman led Salisbury to a pair of road CAC victories at Southern Virginia University and Frostburg State University in the past week. Against the Knights, Kezman and sophomore Laura Brown picked up an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles while Kezman picked up a 7-5, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles. At Frostburg, Kezman and Brown rolled to an 8-0 win in doubles play, with Kezman winning easily at No. 1 singles by a 6-1, 6-1 score.

Kezman is 9-2 in singles play this year, including a 3-0 mark in CAC play.

The Sea Gulls will be back on the courts on Wednesday, April 10, hosting Harford Community College, beginning at 4 p.m.
