How we got here

The Sea Gulls went 11-6 in the regular season and posted a 5-2 mark in CAC play to earn the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament. Salisbury won its first five CAC contests, and was riding a six-match winning streak before facing No. 24 Christopher Newport University and No. 13 University of Mary Washington, marking the only two conference losses for the Sea Gulls.

How they got here

The Lions went 2-5 in CAC play, topping St. Mary's College of Maryland and Frostburg State University in back-to-back matches in early April, to take the No. 6 seed in the tournament. Harrisburg went 8-11 overall during the 2018-19 season.

Last time we met

The teams got together on March 31, with Salisbury earning a weather-shortened 5-1 victory. The teams played just singles, but Salisbury was able to claim the needed points in the first five matches to completion, beginning at the outdoor courts before completing the event indoors. Junior Kayla Allen and freshman Kathryn Allen, at the No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively, each won by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Scouting the Lions

Harrisburg enters Saturday's match with a bit of momentum, having won three of its last four matches. The Lions added a win against Lancaster Bible College after their two CAC wins for a season-best three-match winning streak before falling to Southern Virginia University in their season finale.

Strong in conference play

The Sea Gulls head into play in the CAC tournament with strong numbers within league play. The Sea Gulls have put together a team winning percentage of .615 in singles play in the CAC, with a 24-15 record. In doubles, Salisbury has been even better, with a 12-6 mark (.667 winning percentage).

Up next

The winner of Saturday's match will move on to a CAC semifinal match to be played on Wednesday, May 1, facing the winner of No. 2-seeded Christopher Newport University and No. 7-seeded Frostburg St. The higher seed in the match will host the semifinal battle.
