Women's cross country finish 17th, men place 25th at Mideast Regional

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Salisbury University men's and women's cross country teams traveled to DeSales University to compete in the 2018 NCAA Division III Cross Country Mideast Regional. The women's team placed 17th overall while the men finished 25th.

Women

The women's team was led by junior Ashley Mazer, who finished as the Sea Gulls' top runner on either side, crossing the finish line in a time 23:51 to earn a 25th-place finish.

Three runners for the maroon and gold finished within 13 seconds of each other as Catie Cambon, Allison Keller, and Abby Potter come home in times of 25:10, 25:18, and 25:23. Cambon finished 90th while Keller and Potter placed 97th and 105th, respectively.

Shea McCloskey posted a time of 25:50 to place 135th while senior Carly Sniffen placed 144th crossing the finish line in a time of 26:00.

Sydney Ruckel rounded out the list of Salisbury runners as she crossed the finish line in a time of 26:20 to finish 160th.

Men

On the men's side the team was paced by senior runner Conner Masteran, who was the only other Gull to earn a top-50 finish coming home in a time of 27:16 to finish 44th overall.

Andrew Robey finished the race in a time of 28:27 to place 114th while Ethan Gray finished 172nd overall, crossing the finish line in a time of 29:04.

Two Sea Gulls finished 11 second apart as Ian Hinson and Emmanuel Porquin finished the race in times of 29:23 and 29:34, respectively. Hinson placed 178th overall while Porquin finished 190th.

Mason Kimbell rounded out the Salisbury contestants on the men's side as he placed 248th overall, posting a mark of 30:49.
