SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University announced on Monday the hiring of Cyrill Parham as the new Sports Information Director. Parham succeeds Tim Brennan, who moved on to become the Assistant Director of Public Relations for the University.
Parham arrives at SU from Wesley College where he served as the Director of Sports Information for two and a half years. At Wesley, Parham was the primary contact for 19 NCAA Division III sports, including nationally ranked football and track & field programs. He expanded Wesley's social media, video and website efforts along with managing game operations, marketing and public relations for the athletic department.
Prior to Wesley, Parham served as the Assistant Director of Sports Information at Thiel College from June 2014 to January 2017 under Ed Topoleski. Parham coordinated all social media and video efforts of the department while assisting in promoting and marketing Thiel's 25 intercollegiate sports. Parham served as the media contact for men's basketball, baseball, men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, and wrestling.
A native of Port Deposit, Md., Parham received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Thiel in media communication in May 2014 and a Master of Science degree in sport management with a focus in intercollegiate athletic administration from California University of Pennsylvania in December 2016.
Parham is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), where he serves on the continuing education committee. He is also a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).
