CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The men's and women's swimming teams traveled to Washington (Md.) College on Wednesday evening and the men's team fell, 142-63, while the women's team was defeated, 138-64.

Men

Josh Brown led the men's team with one first- and two second-place finishes. Brown's victory came in the 100-yard individual medley, where he recorded a time of 58.27 seconds. He finished second in the 50-yard freestyle, with a time of 21.76 seconds, and in the 100-yard breaststroke, with a time of 1:03.35.

Peter Moyer earned two individual second-place finishes. His first was in the 200-yard freestyle, with a time of 1:46.76, and his second came in the 500-yard freestyle, with a time of 4:58.77.

Richard Baker placed second in the 100-yard freestyle, with a time of 48.22 seconds. Stephen Arcidiacono finished second in the 100-yard butterfly, with a time of56.61 seconds.

The 200-yard medley relay team, comprised of Baker, Arcidiacono, Kyle Russell, and Jarrod Schwesinger, finished second with a time of 1:42.15.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team, comprised of Arcidiacono, Moyer, Baker, and Andrew Ward, finished second with a time of 3:21.74.

Women

Emma Tarnosky collected two individual first-place finishes on the evening. The first was in the 100-yard individual medley, where she finished with a time of 1:07.37. Her other victory came in the 100-yard backstroke, with a time of 1:03.44.

Shelby Steere finished second in the 400-yard individual medley, with a time of 5:31.67.

Jordyn Rowe finished second in the 100-yard individual medley, with a time of 1:08.84.

Olivia Edsall finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke, with a time of 1:17.66.

Steere, Rowe, Tarnosky, and Angela Barzanti combined to earn a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, recording a time of 2:03.00.

The teams' next meet will be on Saturday, December 2 when they host Widener College. The start time is 1 p.m.
