ARLINGTON, Va. – The Salisbury University men's and swimming teams swept the Marymount Saints on Saturday to open the 2021-22 season. With the wins, head coach Nate Parsley earned his first victories at the helm of the Sea Gulls.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The women's team was down by five points heading into the final two events. The Sea Gulls collected first, second and third place in the 200-yard IM. Then, the 200-yard free relay team of Amelia Nail, Ashley Marcum, Olivia Hawkins and Kara Graybill finished in first to complete the comeback.
Kara Graybill and Peyton O'Brian both led the way with three victories apiece. Graybill finished first in the 50-yard free, 100-yard free and 200-yard free. O'Brian finished first in the 500-yard free, 1,000-yard free, and 200-yard IM. Olivia Totaro, Jordan DeGruchy and Ashley Marcum each had two second place and a third-place finish respectively. Amelia Nail collected three third-place finishes.
Mattew Arter and Samuel Bufano led the Sea Gull men with three first-place finishes apiece. Arter place first in the 500-yard free, the 100-yard back, and the 200-yard back while Bufano finished first in the 50-yard free, the 100-yard free and the 1,000-yard free. Christopher Knorr and Ari Fisher both finished first in their respective races.
