Dominating Effort Pushes Swimming past Virginia Wesleyan in home opener

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's and swimming teams swept the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins, on Saturday, in its first home meet of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

On the men's side, Matthew Arter led the Sea Gulls with three first-place finishes. Arter placed first in the 200-meter IM, the 100-meter back, and the 200-meter back. Christopher Knorr, Samuel Bufano, and Ari Fisher each finished with two first-place finishes, as well.

 

Peyton O'Brian led the way for the Salisbury women with two first-place finishes and a second-place finish. O'Brian finished first in the 100-meter breast and the 200-meter breast. O'Brian also added a second-place effort in the 200-meter IM. Olivia Totaro and Jordan DeGruchy each added two first-place finishes apiece.
