SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's and women's swimming teams opened the 2022-23 season with dominating sweeps of the Stevenson Mustangs on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman Daniel Grigoryev had a great start to his Sea Gull career with wins in the 100-meter fly, 100-meter back, and the 100-meter IM. In his win in the IM, Grigoryev broke the pool record with a time of 1:01.64. David Gardner won both of his events in the 200-meter free and the 400-meter free. Dominic Kazzi added in two first-place finishes in the 50-meter breast and the 100-meter free and finished second in the 100-meter IM.
 
Alexa Hilty led the women with two first-place finishes in the 50-meter free and 100-meter free and anchored both of the women's relay teams that finished in first. Anna Jayjack finished first in the 100-meter back, 50-meter fly and the 100-meter IM. Samantha Watson and Grace Wienckowski each finished with two first-place finishes.
