Kazzi, Men’s Swim dominates in win over McDaniel, 74-32

WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Salisbury University men's swimming team did not show any rust after its long layoff after a 74-32 victory over the McDaniel Green Terror on Saturday. The Sea Gulls improved its dual-meet record to 7-0.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
  • The Sea Gulls tallied 12 first-place finishes with 11 individual race wins and a win in the 200-yard medley relay.
  • Dominic Kazzi led the way for the Sea Gulls with a pair of first-place finishes in the 50-yard free and the 100-yard fly. Kazzi finished with a time of 22.81 seconds in the 50 free and a season-best time of 55.17 in the 100 fly.
  • Sean Zupnik touched the wall in first place in the 100-yard breast (1:07.32) and earned a silver in the 200-yard breast (2:33.78).
  • William Urian added in two second-place finishes in the 200-yard back (2:12.67) and the 100-yard fly (2:12.67).
  • Eight other Sea Gulls finished with a gold medal to help lead the Sea Gulls to the win.

  • The Sea Gulls will travel to Washington, D.C. to take on the Catholic Cardinals in the final road dual meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m.
