NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Salisbury University men's swimming team finished a historic season with a fifth-place finish in the 2023 Metropolitan Swimming Conference Championships (METS).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Robert Krouse and Daniel Grigoryev each finished in the top 10 of the 100 back. Krouse finished in eighth with a time of 1:54.23 and Grigoryev finished in ninth with a time of 1:55.20.
• Christopher Knorr broke his own program record in the preliminary round of the 200 fly with a time of 1:52.69. In the final round, Knorr finished in fourth place with a time of 1:53.09.
• In the final event of the METS, the 400 free relay team finished strong with a fourth-place finish. The team of Dominic Kazzi, Mitchell McGee, Christopher Knorr and Michael DeSimone finished with a time of 3:08.81.
• The team finished with 47 personal-best swims during the METS Championships.
• The Sea Gulls finished in fifth with 690 total points.

 
SEASON RECAP

• The Sea Gulls finished a perfect dual-meet season with a 9-0 overall record. The team finished with nine wins breaking the previous program-high win total of seven from the 2007-08 season.
