SALISBURY, Md. – Building upon one of the strongest athletic training staffs across the entire NCAA, Salisbury University athletics announced the hiring of
Sam Dotterer,
Andrew Fitzgerald,
Maureen Reb and
Winston Harden as assistant athletics trainers on Wednesday.
Dotterer is a product of Lock Haven University, earning her B.S. in Exercise Science and M.S. in Athletic Training in 2018 and 2020, respectively. She arrives at SU after a two-year stint at Louisburg College, becoming the Head Athletic Trainer and sole trainer for Louisburg's 10 sports in 2022. Dotterer also boasts stints with Campbell University football and Clemson University softball, as well as undergraduate experience with six sports at LHU.
Fitzgerald returns to SU after completing his M.S. in Athletic Training from Towson University in May. At TU he worked clinical rotations with the Tiger football, baseball and swimming and diving teams, as well as at the McDonogh School in nearby Owings Mills, Md. Fitzgerald earned his B.S. in Exercise Science from Salisbury in 2021, interning at Pure Fitness and playing club baseball as an undergrad.
A longtime presence on the sidelines for the maroon and gold, Reb returns to Salisbury after one year as an athletic trainer and fitness and wellness instructor at Sts. Peter and Paul High School in Easton, Md. She has spent the better part of two decades on staff at SU in various capacities, including as an assistant athletic trainer (2004-13, spring 2022) and a Health Sciences faculty member (2004-22). Reb has also served as an AT at Peninsula Orthopedic Associates in Salisbury and an adjunct professor at Wor-Wic Community College. She earned a B.S. in Athletic Training and one in Physical Education from SU in 2022 and an M.S. in Health Sciences from James Madison University in 2004.
Harden joins the full-time athletic training staff after serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at SU for the past two years. He oversaw training for six Sea Gull teams from 2021-23, completing his M.S. in Health and Human Performance this past May. Harden earned his B.S. in Athletic Training from Towson in 2021 after handling four different Tiger programs as an undergraduate, as well as one semester at the McDonogh School.
