The Salisbury University women's tennis team takes aim for a conference crown at the 2024 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Tournament, hosted by the University of Mary Washington. The opening round begins on Friday, May 3 as the fourth-seeded Sea Gulls square off against the fifth-seeded Pratt Cannoneers at 2 p.m. at the Battleground Outdoor Complex in Fredericksburg, Va.

Evelyn Whiteside | Singles: 7-6 | Doubles: 11-4

Salisbury posted a 13-4 record in the regular season, good for the program's 17th consecutive non-COVID impacted campaign the Sea Gulls have won at least 10 times.
Gibelle Beaujon was named C2C Rookie of the Year, the first Sea Gull to earn the honor in five years. Beaujon was also tabbed for the All-C2C First Team for singles, while she and Olivia Hall made the All-C2C Second Team for doubles.
Lily Muir (Mar. 11) and Beaujon (Mar. 18) each earned C2C Player of the Week recognition during the season.
Sarah Cooper boasts SU's best singles record on the year, going 13-3 primarily from third singles.
The doubles pair of Hannah Carter and Evelyn Whiteside posted a team-best 10-4 record during the regular season. Beaujon and Hall also won 10 doubles matches together, going 10-6.
Pratt enters the C2C Tournament with an undefeated 11-0 record across the fall and spring.
The Cannoneers placed two players on the All-C2C Second Team for singles in Pallavi Verghese and Beatrice Crespo.
Verghese boasts the Cannoneers' best singles record at 11-1, playing in first singles the entire season. The freshman has won seven straight matches entering postseason play.
Verghese and Crespo combined to go 10-1 as a doubles pair, tops among Pratt's doubles pairs and the only duo to play the entire year together.
Friday's winner will take on the top-seeded Christopher Newport Captains in the C2C semifinals on Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m. The championship match is scheduled for Sunday, May 5 at 2 p.m.
Salisbury is chasing its fifth NCAA Tournament berth in program history and its first since 2004.
