Men's Swimming Will DeBoer

No. 22 Men’s Swimming bests Rowan, 177-85

SALISBURY, Md. – The 22nd-ranked Salisbury University men's swimming team got the best of its New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) archrivals for the third straight season, sinking the Rowan Profs 177-85 on Saturday afternoon at Maggs Pool.
 
MEET NOTES
  • Brody Hanlon medaled in four of his events with two golds and two silvers. He touched up first in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:05.20) and 200 breast (2:27.44) while placing second in the 200 individual medley (2:14.41).
  • Cameron Byrd snagged three medals, winning the 100 butterfly (56.60) and 200 fly (2:08.44).
  • Everett Rachael also secured two golds and a silver, winning a daily backstroke double by touching first in the 100 back (59.59) and 200 back (2:09.82).
  • Mason Potts medaled three times, reeling in gold in the 100 freestyle (52.11) and bronze in the 200 IM (2:14.60).
  • Aidan Loehr won a trio of gold medals, including a solo marker in the 50 free (23.81).
  • Salisbury started the day with a dub in the 200 medley relay, with the A-team of Potts, Dominic Kazzi, Griffin Harris, and Loehr outpacing the field in 1:43.16.
  • SU also took second place in the 200 medley relay, with the C-team of Rachael, Hanlon, Owen Brewer, and Michael DeSimone posting a 1:45.22 mark that was more than a second better than Rowan's A-team time (1:46.38).
  • The Sea Gulls also placed 1-2 in the 200 free relay to close the day. The SU B-team of DeSimone, Loehr, Gabe Erb, and Kyle Skelly (1:35.43) secured the gold, while the A-team of Byrd, Harris, Kazzi, and Brewer rolled in with the silver (1:36.10).
  • In all, Salisbury brought home 28 medals with 12 gold, eight silver, and eight bronze.
 
The Sea Gulls will do battle with another NJAC rival next Saturday, calling upon No. 18 TCNJ with the first event in Ewing, N.J. slated for 1 p.m.
