GLASSBORO, N.J. – The No. 11 Salisbury University softball program's 2025 season came to an end Friday afternoon on opening day of the 2025 NCAA Super Regionals at No. 4 Rowan University. The Sea Gulls fell 15-1 in game one before falling 6-2 in game two.
The Profs (48-2) posted six runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back in game one. Salisbury (36-8-1) posted its lone run in the top of the second inning with
Emily Challender earning the RBI that scored
Morgan Moxley.
Lexie Delcollo, Alayna Gigliotti, Rachel Keller, and Moxley posted hits for SU in game one. The Sea Gulls left six runners on base through the five-inning game.
In game two, the Sea Gulls struck first in the bottom of the first inning, posting two runs. Challender led off with a single and would come around to score on an
Emily Stockman two-RBI single.
This would be the only score of the game for SU. The Sea Gulls made four errors in game two while posting four hits. In her last at-bat as a Sea Gull, Challender tallied her 100
th career hit.
The Sea Gulls finish the season with 36 wins and a Regional Title for the fourth straight season.
