SALISBURY, Md. — The Salisbury University cross country programs celebrated Senior Day and Alumni Day in impressive fashion Saturday afternoon, as the Sea Gulls hosted the 40th Annual Don Cathcart Invitational at Winter Place Park. Salisbury honored four seniors in Anna Bodmer, Peri Nelson, Seth Barron, and Peyton Dill. The women took home 1st place behind another school record from Bodmer. The Men tallied 2nd after a 4th place finish from Gabe Riling who was .3 seconds off a school record, both highlighting the day.
Salisbury claimed the women's team title with 44 points, finishing ahead of Johns Hopkins (53) and TCNJ (54). Batten University placed fourth with 67 points, followed by Regent University (156). TCNJ claimed the men's team title with 38 points, with Salisbury finishing runner-up at 45 points. Women's Meet Notes

Bodmer led the way for the Sea Gulls, finishing second overall with a personal-best time of 21:10.4.

Brynn Crandell followed in third place, crossing the finish line in 21:28.4 and recording a personal best.

Olivia Baker placed 10th overall in 21:58.7, giving Salisbury three runners inside the top 10.

Callie Webb finished 14th in 22:16.9, while Miranda Bournique rounded out the Sea Gulls' scoring five in 15th at 22:20.3.

Camryn Russum finished 18th in 22:46.9, followed by Madison McCurry in 23rd at 23:07.1.

Nelson finished 25th overall with a personal-best time of 23:19.6, followed by sophomore Anna Pumphrey in 26th at 23:24.5 and freshman Kate Love in 27th at 23:27.2, with both runners recording personal bests.

Freshman Claire Main placed 30th in 23:49.3, while junior Kilian Dziepak finished 31st in 24:03.1, both posting personal-best times.

Junior Savannah Trice crossed the finish line 33rd in 24:15.4, followed by sophomore Lindsay Fernandez in 34th at 24:28.1, with both runners recording personal bests.

Sophomore Mia Malizia posted a season-best time of 24:38.8 to finish 36th, while junior Ava Wagner placed 37th in 24:43.6 with a personal best.

Freshman Nora Okolichany finished 40th in 25:29.0, recording a personal best, while freshman Madison Eberle rounded out the Salisbury runners in 47th with a personal-best time of 26:59.8.
Men's Meet Notes

Riling paced the Sea Gulls with a fourth-place finish in 24:53.3, recording a personal best and placing inside the top five. This time was .3 seconds off the school record.

Ryan Moody continued his strong season with a ninth-place finish in 25:46.7, also posting a personal best.

Cormac Moroney finished 11th in 26:03.7, while Dill placed 13th in 26:08.4 to give Salisbury four runners inside the top 13.

Bradley Helman rounded out Salisbury's scoring five with a 16th-place finish in 26:17.9.

Justin Friscia added a personal-best time of 26:31.3 to finish 17th, while Owen Viglione was 19th in 26:36.2.

John Conley finished 23rd overall with a personal-best time of 26:46.8, followed by junior Justin Freeman in 24th at 26:56.9, also recording a personal best. Barron placed 25th in 26:59.0.

Shamar Johnson crossed the finish line 26th in 27:00.5, recording a personal best, while freshman Aidan Foster finished 34th in 27:27.0, also posting a personal best.

Degenet Riggs placed 35th in 27:30.1 with a personal best, followed by sophomore Dalton Fink in 36th at 27:32.0.

Caleb Bodmer finished 38th in 27:41.1, recording a personal best, while freshman Jacob Camper was 39th in 27:44.3, also posting a personal best.

Freshman Brycen King crossed the finish line 40th in 28:01.5, followed by freshman Anthony Schilling in 41st at 28:07.4, with both runners recording personal-best times.
The Sea Gulls will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Rowan Regional Rumble in Glassboro, N.J The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
