Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Players of the Week | Feb. 16-22, 2026

SALISBURY, Md. – Two Salisbury University student-athletes locked in Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Players of the Week nods with weekly accolades from the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C).

Women's tennis's Evelyn Whiteside swung her way to her team's first C2C honor of the season, while baseball's Cole Williams made it two straight Sea Gull hurlers to step into the league's spotlight.

Evelyn Whiteside | C2C Women's Tennis Player of the Week | Second Career (First This Season)
Whiteside (Sr. – Wrightsville, Pa.) gave the Sea Gulls a team victory over Catholic on Saturday, winning fourth singles in a 6-3, 6-3 sweep over the Cardinals' Meaghan Laniewski. The teams competed in a play-to-clinch format indoors due to the oncoming winter storm; CUA took the doubles point and SU the first three singles matches to go up 3-1, meaning Whiteside's dub stopped the match and secured the 4-1 team triumph.

Cole Williams | C2C Baseball Pitcher of the Week | Second Career (First This Season)
Williams (Jr. – Silver Spring, Md.) delivered 3.2 scoreless no-hit innings in relief to pick up the win in the fifth-ranked Sea Gulls' 4-1 margin over third-ranked Denison at the D3 Showcase in Greensboro, N.C. on Saturday. Williams walked two and punched out one on 53 pitches against the high-powered Big Red bats. Williams has not allowed a hit in 4.2 innings over a pair of appearances to open the season.
