Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse | | Andrew Barbieri

No. 3 Women’s Lacrosse commands first quarter, cruises past No. 11 Washington and Lee

SALISBURY, Md. – The third-ranked Salisbury University women's lacrosse scored the first six goals of Sunday's contest against No. 11 Washington and Lee to lock down a 13-6 win over the Generals inside Sea Gull Stadium.

The Sea Gulls (4-0) led 5-0 over the Generals (3-2) after the first 15 minutes of play. Audrey Harrington scored three of the first four goals and assisted Julianna Ott's first tally. Avery Dunbar capped off the stanza with an unassisted marker to round out the quarter.

Both sides found twine twice in the following frame. Lauren Hackett buried a free position shot, and Ott punctuated the half to make it 7-2 at the break.

The third and fourth frames both went in favor of the Gulls, 3-2. Harrington, Dunbar and Regan McDonnell paced the offense to keep the Maroon and Gold in the driver's seat.

Dunbar started the party in the final segment, then assisted Ott during 7-on-6 play. McDonnell put the cherry on top with a free-position fireball in a convincing victory.
