Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Players of the Week | Feb. 23-Mar. 1, 2026

SALISBURY, Md. – Four Salisbury University student-athletes became the latest Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Players of the Week as weekly honorees from the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C).
 
Tennis saw Gurv Suri and Gibelle Beaujon give the Sea Gulls as weep of C2C Men's and Women's honors, while women's lacrosse's Julianna Ott and Abby Fleishell secured both Offensive and Defensive accolades.
 
Gurv Suri | C2C Men's Tennis Player of the Week | Third Career (First This Season)
Suri (Jr. – New Windsor, N.Y.) went 3-1 in his four matches over the weekend. On Saturday against Shenandoah, he and Aron Bursztyn picked up a 6-4 win in first doubles while Suri battled to a tough 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 decision in first singles. Then on Sunday against Albright, Suri and Bursztyn in first doubles muscled their way to another 6-4 victory and Suri followed it up with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 dub in first singles.
 
Gibelle Beaujon | C2C Women's Tennis Player of the Week | Third Career (First This Season)
Beaujon (Jr. – Willemstad, Curacao) won all four of her matches over the weekend against Shenandoah and Albright, each in dominant fashion. Beaujon and Cleo Solomon teamed up for a pair of 6-0 drubbings in first doubles. In first singles, Beaujon dropped only three games across the two matches, winning 6-1, 6-0 on Saturday and 6-0, 6-2 on Sunday.
 
Julianna Ott | C2C Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week | Second Career (First This Season)
Ott (Sr. – Woodbine, Md.) led the Sea Gulls' attack in a pair of weekend wins. On Saturday at Washington College she scored a career-high six goals to provide the 16-10 margin of victory. Ott then followed that up on Sunday with three more tallies in a 13-6 dub over 11th-ranked Washington & Lee. She also reeled in 13 draw controls across the two matches, remaining a key figure in the SU midfield as well as up front.
 
Abby Fleishell | C2C Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week | Fourth Career (First This Season)
Fleishell (Sr. – Sykesville, Md.) paced the Salisbury backline with six draw controls, five ground balls, and four caused turnovers in the pair of wins. Fleishell recorded three of each in the Sunday win over W&L.
