SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University head cross country coach
Jim Jones has announced the Sea Gulls' 2026 cross country schedule, featuring seven meets, three home competitions, and championship opportunities throughout the fall.
Salisbury opens the campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5, by hosting the Salisbury University Fall Classic at Winter Place Park. The Sea Gulls will then travel to Massachusetts for the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The Gulls return home on Saturday, Oct. 3, to host the Don Cathcart Invitational before hitting the road two weeks later for the Rowan Regional Rumble in Swedesboro, New Jersey, on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Don Cathcart weekend will also serve as Alumni and Senior Day for SU.
Conference championship season comes to Salisbury on Saturday, Oct. 31, as the Sea Gulls welcome the Coast-to-Coast Conference Championship to Winter Place Park. Salisbury will look to capitalize on home-course familiarity as both the men's and women's teams compete for conference titles and automatic bids into the NCAA postseason.
The postseason continues on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship, where the Sea Gulls will compete for a chance to advance to the national meet.
The 2026 campaign concludes on Saturday, Nov. 21, with the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championship, where qualifying individuals and teams will race for national honors.
