Dario Belizaire | NJAC Football Offensive Player of the Week | Third Career (First This Season)
Belizaire (Sr. – Cambridge, Md.) piled up 202 yards of total offense and a receiving touchdown in to help Salisbury move to 2-0 on the year. He rushed for 90 yards on seven carries and hauled in four catches for 112 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown reception from QB
SyRus McGowan in the third quarter that stood as the Gulls' longest play from scrimmage. Belizaire currently leads the NJAC with 177 all-purpose yards per game, good for 11th nationally.
Dylan Lyerly | NJAC Football Defensive Player of the Week | First Career
Lyerly (Jr. – Fairfax, Va.), a team captain, led the Sea Gull defense with a career-high 12 tackles and blocked a Generals extra-point attempt in the second quarter, setting up
Tahmir Jones for the two-point return to help flip a would-be 14-14 tie into a 16-13 SU advantage at halftime. Lyerly's 19 tackles (six solo) are currently third-most in the league.
