SALISBURY, Md. – Fresh off another season of new heights and national breakthroughs, the Salisbury University men's and women's swimming teams officially released their 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday.
The Sea Gulls will get their first look at the new-look rosters on Saturday, Oct. 10, with the annual Maroon, Gold & Grey Intrasquad Meet at 9:30 a.m. inside the Maggs Physical Activities Center Swimming Pool.
Outside competition begins with a pair of road meets – SU opens on Oct. 24 at Division II West Chester, then heads to Glassboro, N.J., on Oct. 31 to face New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) foe Rowan. The Sea Gulls' first home meet is another marquee one, with NJAC rival TCNJ visiting Maggs Pool on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m.
Salisbury then gears up for midseason at the three-day Yellow Jacket Invitational on Nov. 20-22 at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va. The Sea Gull men are the two-time defending champions of the event while the Sea Gull women won last year's tournament with ease. SU then closes out the 2026 portion of its slate at home against Eastern Shore rival Washington College on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 12 p.m.
The Sea Gulls come out of winter break with four meets in 17 days. SU hosts Johns Hopkins on Thursday, Jan. 14, at 1 p.m., then travels to Franklin & Marshall two days later on Jan. 16. Salisbury will celebrate Senior Day against Catholic on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. in its home finale before wrapping up the regular season at Division I Howard on Jan. 30.
The 2027 NJAC Swimming & Diving Championships return to the Hampton Aquaplex for four days from Thursday, Feb. 11, through Sunday, Feb. 14. Qualifying swimmers will then compete at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Mar. 17-20 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
Salisbury will look to build on its newfound standard of excellence after enjoying the most decorated season in program history in 2025-26. The SU women won their second straight NJAC title and placed 22nd at the NCAA Championships, where
Addi Wood took national runner-up honors in the 1,650 freestyle to become the first individual First Team All-American in women's or men's program history. The Sea Gull men finished second at NJACs – up from third in 2025 and fourth in 2024 – and tied for 26th at nationals behind the program's First-Team All-America 200 medley relay team (
Mason Potts,
Dominic Kazzi,
Michael Paulos,
Michael DeSimone). Among those returning to Maggs Pool are the NJAC's two reigning Rookies of the Year-turned-All-Americans in
Cameron Byrd and
Rowan O'Donoghue.
