Baseball ranks No. 21 in latest poll; No. 30 in ABCA poll

SALISBURY, Md. – The organizations and the American Baseball Coaches Association released their weekly national rankings on Tuesday afternoon. Salisbury University baseball was recognized by both organizations, ranking No. 21 in the poll and No. 30 in the ABCA poll.

The Sea Gulls (25-10) collected two important Capital Athletic Conference wins over Marymount (Va.) University and York College of Pennsylvania in the past week and now sit in second place with a 13-3 conference record.

Trinity (Texas) University remain atop the rankings for the fifth straight week, receiving 15 of a possible 25 first-place votes. College of Wooster, the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, and Randolph-Macon College each received three first place votes and rank Nos. 2 through 4, respectively. The University of Massachusetts–Boston rounds out the top five after receiving the final first-place vote.

In the ABCA poll, the top three remain the same from a week ago, with Trinity sitting at No. 1, Rowan University at No. 2, and Randolph-Macon at No. 3. UMass-Boston jumps up from No. 6 to No. 4, while Wooster drops one spot to No. 5.

Salisbury will return to action on Thursday, April 26 when it hosts Drew University. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
