Ardoin earns national Team of the Week honors

MINNEAPOLIS – released its weekly Team of the Week awards for the week ending on May 6, and Salisbury University infielder Scott Ardoin was named shortstop of the week.

Ardoin was awarded the honor after starting all three Capital Athletic Conference first round games for the Sea Gulls, batting third in the lineup and hitting .545 (6-for-11). He collected two doubles and a home run over the weekend, while scoring five runs and driving in another three. Ardoin drew one walk and stole a base as Salisbury went 3-0 to advance to this weekend's conference championship series.

On the year, Ardoin is hitting .346, including 55 hits, 32 runs scored and 24 runs batted in. He has walked 21 times and successfully swiped 16 bases. Ardoin has started all 41 games at shortstop for the Sea Gulls this season.
