MINNEAPOLIS – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and D3baseball.com released its national poll for the week ending on March 10, and the Salisbury University baseball team currently ranks at No. 22 in the country.
The Sea Gulls (7-4-1) have gone 2-2 over the past week with wins over Neumann University and Hood College. The team holds a 2-2-1 record against nationally ranked opponents.
Wooster College continues to hold down the top spot in the poll, receiving 15 of a possible 25 first-place votes. Rowan University holds steady in the No. 2 spot with eight first-place votes. Trinity (Texas) College jumps up one spot to No. 3 while receiving one first-place vote, while Capital Athletic Conference rival Christopher Newport University drops a spot to No. 4 with the final first-place vote. Randolph-Macon College rounds out the top five.
Salisbury will return to action on Wednesday, March 13 when it hosts Hampden-Sydney College. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
