SALISBURY, Md. – The American Baseball Coaches Association released its final Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Baseball Poll on Monday and Salisbury University finished the season ranked 24th in the nation.
The Sea Gulls concluded the 2019 campaign with an overall record of 35-10-1 and collected 125 points in the final poll to earn the ranking.
The maroon and gold were joined in the poll by Capital Athletic Conference opponent Christopher Newport University, which collected 221 points to finish the season ranked 16th in the country with an overall record of 35-10.
2019 Division III Baseball national champion Chapman University finished the season as the unanimous top ranked team in the country collecting all 16 first-place votes and accumulating 480 points. Birmingham-Southern College came in at No. 2 in the final poll amassing 464 points while University of Massachusetts Boston totaled 430 points to finish ranked third. Babson College and Johns Hopkins University rounded out the top five placing fourth and fifth, respectively, accumulating 428 and 423 points.
