PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its weekly football awards on Sunday and Salisbury University freshman Jack Lanham was named the league's Offensive Rookie of the Week.
Lanham came on late in the Sea Gulls' 33-0 win against Rowan University with the quarterback rushing twice and attempting one pass, which he completed for his first career touchdown pass. Lanham found senior Blake Joppy up the right sideline for an 88-yard touchdown pass.
The Rowan contest was Lanham's second game in which he's seen action this season, completing 3-of-6 passes for 107 yards.
The Sea Gulls return to action this Saturday, November 4 when they travel to No. 13 Wesley College for an NJAC showdown between the two remaining teams which have not taken a league loss this season.
