MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Fueled by their 2-0 start to the 2019 season, the Salisbury University football team broke into the D3football.com Top 25 poll, which was released Sunday night. The Sea Gulls entered the poll as the No. 23 team in the nation.
Salisbury collected 82 points in the poll. Defending national champions, Mary Hardin-Baylor sits atop the Top 25 with 624 points and 24 first-place votes. Mount Union collected the final first-place vote and ranked second in the poll with 599 points.
Salisbury is one of two New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) teams in the D3football.com Top 25 with Wesley at the 15th spot in the rankings.
After bye weeks, Salisbury will be back in action on Sat., Oct. 5 when they head to Northern New Jersey to take on the Montclair St. Red Hawks. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
