Schrecongost selected as NJAC Player of the Week

PITMAN, N.J. – Salisbury University junior kicker Bert Schrecongost was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Special Teams Player of the Week on Sunday.

Schrecongost was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra-point attempts while connecting on a 33-yard field goal in the third quarter of No. 12 Salisbury's 38-7 win on Saturday over Rowan on homecoming to help the Sea Gulls remain undefeated on the season. He currently leads the NJAC in PATs made (26) and is in a tie for first in the league in PAT percentage (1.000).

Schrecongost is the second different Salisbury football player to collect the NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week award after freshman punter Michael Gillespie received NJAC weekly honors on Sept. 15.
