Field Hockey holds steady at No. 4 in NFHCA Poll

GILBERT, Ariz. – In the fourth week of the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Coaches Poll, the Salisbury University field hockey team remained in the fourth spot in the Top 20 poll.

Salisbury collected 867 points with a 7-1 overall record to be ranked fourth for the third consecutive week. Middlebury held the top spot in the poll with 1087 points. New Jersey Athletic Conference foes, Rowan and TCNJ are No. 2 and No. 3 in the polls with 1010 and 957 points respectively. Tufts rounds out the Top 5 in the national rankings with 834 points.

Salisbury is one of two Capital Athletic Conference teams to be ranked in the Top 20 with Christopher Newport in a tie with Bates for 14th with 344 points.

The Sea Gulls will be in action on Saturday, Sept. 28 when they host the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins in a non-conference clash at Sea Gull Stadium. The game is set for a 1 p.m. start.
