Elgin, Farrace named to NCAA All-Tournament Team

MANHEIM, Pa. - Salisbury University senior defender Lindsey Elgin and junior goalkeeper Dom Farrace were named to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey All-Tournament Team on Sunday following the championship game.

Elgin and Farrace were key factors in Salisbury defensive effort throughout the season and the tournament. Both Elgin and Farrace were named to the 2019 All-Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) First Team following the season and helped the Sea Gulls win their 22nd CAC Championship and advance to the 35th NCAA Tournament in program history.

Salisbury shut out two of their three opponents in the NCAA Tournament and only allowed one goal on nine shots on target. Elgin, Farrace and the rest of the Salisbury defense helped tie a school record with 14 shutouts in 2019 and ranked second in the nation in goals-against average (0.52) and shutouts per game (0.63).

The Sea Gulls finished the 2019 season as national semifinalists with a 20-2 overall record and a 5-0 record in the CAC.
