INDIANAPOLIS – The Salisbury University men's basketball team is set to play in its first NCAA Division III tournament for the first time since the 1996-'97 season, after earning the Capital Athletic Conference's automatic bid by defeating Christopher Newport University on Saturday, 58-57, in the CAC title game for the program's second conference championship.
The Sea Gulls will travel to Hartford, Connecticut and Trinity (Conn.) College for the site of first- and second-round action; Salisbury will take on Eastern Connecticut State University in a first-round game on Friday, March 6.
