SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's and women's basketball teams are asking for Sea Gull nation to once again help make the holiday season a little more magical for those less fortunate, as they hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss on Wednesday, November 20, during halftime of each team's game against visiting Marymount (Va.) University.
Fans who would like to participate can bring new stuffed animals to donate as part of the event at halftime of each game. Fans who bring stuffed animals for donation will receive free admission to both games that evening and will have a chance to throw their donations into bins placed at midcourt. If one of the stuffed animals lands in a bin, the fan who threw it will win Salisbury basketball gear.
Fans are encouraged to bring multiple toys for donation and participate in each halftime contest. The women's game against Marymount begins at 6 p.m., while the men's game is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. in Maggs Physical Activities Center.
All of the items that are tossed will be donated to Toys for Tots. To learn more about the Toys for Tots charity and other ways in which you can donate, click here.
