DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference released its monthly men's lacrosse awards winners on Thursday afternoon and junior goalie Brandon Warren earned ECAC accolades as he was named Goalie of the Month.
Warren was instrumental in the top ranked Sea Gulls success in the month of March helping them to a 7-0 record that saw key victories over Stevenson University, Illinois Wesleyan, and No. 7 Cabrini University.
For the month of March Warren totaled 310:05 in cage allowing just 29 goals for a goals against average of 5.61. He tallied 41 saves on 127 shots faced for a save percentage of .586. Warren allowed no more than nine goals in a contest, while surrendering six goals or fewer in six of the seven games for the maroon and gold. He also recorded double-digit saves twice making 13 against the Mustangs and totaling 11 against Cabrini.
This is the third accolade Warren has picked up this week as he was named the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week and named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week.
Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, April 6 when it travels to Frostburg State University. Faceoff is set for 11 a.m. between the Sea Gulls and Bobcats.
