BALTIMORE – Inside Lacrosse released its Week 9 Media Poll on Wednesday afternoon and for the second time this week Salisbury University was voted the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation.
The Sea Gulls, who posted a 1-0 week, earned all 13 first-place votes while they totaled 260 points to retain the top spot in the country.
The Rochester Institute of Technology moved up two spots to lock down the No. 2 position in the poll picking up 245 points. Capital Athletic Conference opponent York College of Pennsylvania moved up to its highest position in the poll yet this year, coming in at No. 3 picking up 222 points. Amherst College dropped two places to No. 4 as it earned 218 points, while Tufts University picked up 214 points to round out the top five.
Salisbury returns to action on Wednesday, April 10 when it hosts Christopher Newport University. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium.
