ATLANTA – Former Salisbury University men's lacrosse All-American defenseman Will Nowesnick will continue his lacrosse career as he has earned a spot on the roster for the Major League Lacrosse team Atlanta Blaze.
Nowesnick, who graduated in 2018, finished his career in the maroon and gold appearing in 88 games making 80 starts, while causing 132 turnovers and scooping up 192 groundballs. He was recognized by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as he was named a First Team All-American for his efforts on the field in 2018. He also collected first team all-region honors for The Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association, as well as being named First Team All-Capital Athletic Conference.
The Blaze open their season on Sunday, June 2 when they take on the Denver Outlaws. Nowesnick will make a return trip to Maryland on Saturday, June 29 when he and Atlanta travel to Annapolis to take on the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
