GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Information Directors of America released its 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams on Wednesday morning and Salisbury University senior lacrosse player Corey Gwin earned recognition from the organization for his performance both in the class room and on the field of competition.
Gwin, a native from Berlin, Maryland, completed his time at Salisbury with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.70 as an Environmental Science major.
For his efforts on the field this past season, Gwin was recognized by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as he was named the Fran McCall Outstanding Midfielder of the Year while also being named a First Team All-American. He finished his season with 88 points, which ranked second on the team, totaling 63 goals and 25 assists. He was also named first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference for the second consecutive season.
Gwin rounds out his career in the maroon and gold appearing in 81 games, scoring 138 goals, and dishing out 55 assists for a total of 193 career points.
He will now advance to the Google Cloud All-America ballot. The winners will be announced in June.
