LOUISVILLE – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2019 USILA/Warrior and new Balance Division III Scholar All-Americans and Salisbury University senior midfielder Corey Gwin earned recognition from the organization as he was named to the list of honorees.
Gwin, who is a native of Berlin, Maryland, earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and graduated with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.70.
For his efforts on the field this past season, Gwin was recognized by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as he was named the Fran McCall Outstanding Midfielder of the Year while also being named a First Team All-American. He finished his season with 88 points, which ranked second on the team, totaling 63 goals and 25 assists. He was also named first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference for the second consecutive season.
This is the second postseason academic accolade for Gwin as he was named to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's At-Large team in early June.
