Sea Gulls ranked No. 12 in NSCAA poll, No. 11 in poll

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team is ranked No. 12 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 poll, and moved up to No. 11 in the poll, the organizations announced Tuesday.

The Sea Gulls defeated then-No. 4 York (Pa.) College, 3-1, Saturday afternoon at the SU Soccer Complex, making them the only undefeated team in Capital Athletic Conference play, with a  record of 5-0.  

SU received 352 points in this week's poll, moving them from No. 20 last week to No. 11 this week.

Ohio Wesleyan University (16-0) occupies the No. 1 spot in both polls, with 23 first-place votes. Amherst College (10-0-2) follows at No. 2 and Messiah College (14-1) at No. 3 in the NSCAA poll. Both Messiah and Amherst also occupy the No. 2 and 3 spots in the poll, with Messiah ranked ahead of Amherst.

Salisbury will travel to Christopher Newport University in an effort to continue their eight-game winning streak, Wednesday, Oct. 23. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
