SOMERS, Wis. – CollegeSwimming.com recognized Salisbury University men's swimming freshman Peter Moyer as the Capital Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week for his performance in the Swarthmore Invitational.
Moyer earned three victories at the two-day meet, contributing to Salisbury's second-place position. The first win came in the 500-yard freestyle (4:49.09), the second was in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.50) and the third in the 1,650-yard (17:01.04), 42 seconds before the second-place finisher.
Earlier this month, Moyer broke a school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:15:01, beating the previous record from 2009 by more than nine seconds.
This is the team's third award from CollegeSwimming.com this season, while it is Moyer's first.
Moyer and the rest of the Sea Gulls will be travelling on Saturday, December 5 to compete against Widener University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
