STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Salisbury University softball team held at No. 20 in the nation as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its latest Division III top 25 poll on Wednesday.
The Sea Gulls have been in the No. 20 spot for the past two weeks and collected 55 points this week. Salisbury (23-5) is riding a 13-game winning streak, having defeated two Capital Athletic Conference opponents last week to remain unbeaten in conference play.
The top-five teams in the nation saw no change this week as Linfield College stayed atop the poll with 200 points and all first-place votes. Emory College remained second with 189 points while Coe College and Eastern Connecticut State University are tied in third with 178 points. Rounding out the top five for the second straight week is Luther College (167 points).
