LOUISVILLE – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its latest Top 25 coaches' poll on Wednesday morning with the Salisbury University softball team moving up three spots to No. 6 in the latest poll.
The Sea Gulls (30-6) received 155 points in the poll, just 12 points out of the top five after a four-win week which included doubleheader sweeps against Washington (Md.) College and Catholic University of America.
Tufts University remains atop the poll, with 200 points and all eight first-place votes, followed by the University of Texas-Tyler (192 points), East Texas Baptist University (184), Luther College (175) and Trine University (167).
Salisbury heads to selection Monday having won four-straight games, hoping to receive an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament. The field will be announced at 10 a.m., on Monday, May 4 on NCAA.com.
