YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University junior forward Katie McGahagan has been named CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
McGahagan averaged 19.5 points, eight rebounds and 1.5 steals per game last week, leading Salisbury to a 2-0 week with wins over St. Mary's (Md.) College on Wednesday and Frostburg State University on Saturday.
McGahagan scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds as the Sea Gulls secured their first home CAC tournament game since 2002-03. She also had a game-best 21 points and recorded seven boards versus the Bobcats.
For the week, McGahagan shot 14-for-24 (58.3 percent) from from the field, 10-for-12 (83.3 percent) from the free-throw line and 1-for-1 from three-point range.
Salisbury will host Hood College on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Maggs Physical Activities Center. The game will begin at 6 p.m.
