Salisbury to host Play 4Kay game to support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's basketball team will be in action on Wednesday, hosting Capital Athletic Conference foe Wesley College, as the teams will be playing in the annual Play 4Kay game.

The Play 4 Kay event takes place across the country and the NCAA to help increase breast cancer awareness and honor Kay Yow, the former women's basketball coach at North Carolina State University, for her battle against breast cancer.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, established by Yow, along with the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association and the V Foundation for Cancer Research, will receive all proceeds raised during the game at SU. The Fund began in 2007 with the purpose of "raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause."

There will be a raffle during halftime of the women's game on Wednesday to raise money for the Fund. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased during the first half of the game at the pink table that will be located in the lobby of Maggs Physical Activities Center.

Come out to support the Salisbury women's basketball team in its support against breast cancer.
