Hackett named CAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season

YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University junior point guard Anna Hackett has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Hackett recorded 17 points and eight assists in a pivotal win over Marymount (Va.) University on Wednesday and accounted for a career-high 22 points against Frostburg State University on Saturday. Against Frostburg, the junior moved into No. 10 on Salisbury's all-time scoring list with 1,212 career points.

With the 2-0 week, the Sea Gulls head into the CAC tournament as the No. 3 seed.

Salisbury will return to the court to host St. Mary's College of Maryland for the CAC tournament first-round game, on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m.
